Congratulations, This is long over due. We have been in desperate need of a solid media outlet to tell the real story of the state of Oakland, that allow people to connect, hold our leaders accountable and make informed decisions at the polls.

i love the work you two are doing -- sincere and deep thanks for bringing your talent and insight to this endeavor.... Providing great data that gives all of the individuals and groups trying to figure out the best way forward a reliable way to separate fact from fiction is a huge gift!

It becomes important to make sure our communities know how these financial resources impact the communities especially our communities with high crime indices.

So let’s keep staying engaged because it all has a price tag and no matter how we engage, we need to see how we need to get and stay involved.

In the aftermath of the decline of local media, and the resulting constriction and/or metering of information and examination of most community issues of importance, I applaud your initiative here. Even more so, in that this very type of citizen and interactive venue holds even more crucial potential among all community members than does even "news media".

Thank you for taking this project on. Oakland is not the city I moved to decades ago and I now feel I need much more information about what's going on than I'm able to get in a timely manner if I want to move around the city safely and feel secure in my home.
